An Easter Lamb

I had been trying to decide what I wanted to do for an Easter craft, and there are bunnies everywhere. And then this idea hit me – an Easter Lamb.

I am so excited to have  found these safety eyes for this project.

I used the loop stitch to create the wooly appearance. When working in loop stitch, you are really crocheting the lamb inside out.

As you can see in my first version, the face is the backside of the single crochet stitches.

Alternately, you can crochet a separate face using black yarn – since the post on the Trimits eyes are shorter than I have worked with in the past, I used a lighter weight yarn to crochet the face, this made it much easier to attached the safety eyes.

These cute little guys take about 4 hours to complete – get your free pattern now

And if you do make one, I’d love to see it here or on my Facebook page.
