Chemo Port Pillow

Like so many, cancer has touched my family. I wish that I had thought of this simple comfort when my mom was going through chemo – a port pillow.

After a quick search of Pintrest I found a great tutorial by Create To Donate.

With just a fat quarter of cotton or flannel you can cut out 8 rectangles – enough for 4 port pillows.

I have to admit, all I had was 1 1/2″ Boutique EZ Adjust Tape in my stash which makes turning the pillow right side out after you sew up the sides more work, so make sure you get 1″.

Such a simple and quick craft can be donated to a local cancer support center in your area. I am fortunate enough to have a local organization called Jen’s Friends Cancer Foundation that will get these to folks in need.
